Quick Phase 90 Mod question

I have my phase 90 open in front of me, and i'm about to try the R28 mod.

Is this image acurate?

I really can't afford to break anything!

Thanks!

Unless you have a older model then thats the modern phase 90. I've heard that clipping out C11 and C12 will improve your tone alot too.

It's accurate, I did the mod myself. The best way to do it is to take a small pair of scissors (one you cut your finger nails with, for instance) and simply cut one leg of the element you want to remove, then bend it upwards so that the contact is open. Thus you can easily undo it in case you don't like the sound.

yup that picture is right. i've done the mod myself its quite simple. mine looked just slightly different on the inside than the image i used when i did it, but the basic idea (resistor placement) is the same. it really makes the phase 90 more subtle and doesn't add so much gain to your sound. I also am not aware of what the other resistors (when clipped) change, so if anyone knows specifically that would be nice to know.
