I currently have the Arion MEQ-1. I wanna try and do the sniper mod on it but can't find anywhere on the net which tells you the sniper mod! I can't find a schematic for the arion, but if i could follow instructions for the GE-7 I'm sure i could work it out. Can anyone help?

I've searched around the net abit now and found a few other mods which are possible for the ge-7, which will probably be possible to carry out on my arion meq-1. Any help on any mods would be appreciated.

The Sniper mod isn't really something you do to the pedal, I think it's just an upgrade on the parts to make it sound better quieter when you boost it up more. As far as I know, sniper mods are only available through Tone Jam. It's $25 for their kit, but I'm not sure if the parts would be right for yours...that's all I've got sorry

I e-mailed the guy at tone jam about a month ago, asking if the sniper mod was available for this EQ, and he said no. I'm not specifically after the sniper mod, just any mod to make it better

I've heard alot of people on about just changin some capacitors and IC's to better ones, so just little things like that is what i'm after. Of course I'm not sure what to change!

Have you thought about just getting a new unit? Every Arion I've played was made out of cheap plastic (the Tubulator's still kick some ass though) and maybe it's time to upgrade?
The Dano Fish and Chips EQs are pretty nice, and dirt cheap. (I realize it's also made out of plastic), just maybe something to thing about if you can't get anything for yours.

I don't really want a new unit to be honest. The only reason i got this EQ in the first place was because i found it in my mates attic and bought it off him for next to nothing. I've just startin makin my own pedals, so i'm interested in modding pedals aswell. I wunt mind moddin this as my first pedal cos anythin goes wrong it dunt matta But i'm not really fussy about avin an EQ anyway so theres no point in buying a new unit.

then if that's the case, start experimenting.
