for those looking for a cheaper alternative:

marshall vibratrem.
tremolo and vibrato in one sturdy pedal.

i've tested it out.. it's not bad. not "throbbing" enough for me.. but the vibrato gives a nice vintage flavour.

retail is $130CAN.

the area 51 won't cut it because it was described by them to add a watery texture, and that is exactly what i'm not looking for. also since it's an amp add on, it won't work for me because i play two amps and i can't switch both footswitches on and off properly for different amps.

i can say that the marshall vibratrem won't cut it without even trying it.

i'm sure the vibratrem feels the same way about you.

..it was a suggestion for a geek on a budget. not a great pedal.

I know. I should have just said it wouldn't work in a stereo rig as it will split the signal vibrato/tremolo, and the vibrato is poop.

I have the vibratrem, and I agree, it's a great BUDGET tremolo. Better than the boss, but not as good as all of the boutique ones (which is one of the only pedals I've considered going "boutique" for.)

I liek the Dano and the I really like the Ibaenz soundtank tremolo, as it has a adjustable gain boost.

Actually, I need to get a few more of the ibanez ones.
