VFE Blueprint Delay

How have I not heard of this before!?!?!? It's perfect!

VFE Blueprint Delay - YouTube

I was looking for another delay to go with my Carbon Copy, specifically something with a small footprint, 9v, tweakable. The usual suspects came up (another carbon copy, malekko 616, Flashback, Deep Blue). Then I found this guy. The only one I could put my hands on was at an uber-expensive corksniffer guitar shop, but apparently PGS has them for $164.

Anyone have any experience?

No!!! But after hearing that, reminds me of a Polychorus with longer delays!!! Might have to splurge on that one!!!! Plus seems less noisy being analog as well surprisingly.....

BRILLIANT! It is really everything the carbon copy and 616 wish they could be. Very tweakable....too many sweet spots to really even consider them "sweet spots".....it just sounds good anywhere the dials fall. Mix goes all the way to 100% wet. Level control makes it awesome as a stand-alone boost/solo pedal with the added beauty of delay. The oscillations are even amazing......

Analog at it's best My AD-9 is noisy as hell, I keep it though, as the noise adds something.... Then again, why I ditched EH, and also Boss pedals..... Thanks for the review, I still might have to try that for my self....

I've edited my previous post, and would humbly like to restate that the vfe blueprint is awesome. The noise issue was not caused by the blueprint; it was actually the carbon copy making the noise! The blue print was just repeating it and making it louder.

That being said, I am sending the CC off into the great wilderness of craigslist and ordering a second blueprint.

I found the CC to be a bit noisy too. It's a nice-sounding effect and does the crash-landing UFO self-oscillation thing pretty well, but I expect it to come off my board when I've saved up for an M5. I've read they have several non-digital delay modelling modes, which includes the DM-2. If it's convincing enough I don't think I'll use the CC again.

I've always assumed that background noise is part of the analogue delay's charm...I actually only use mine for noise purposes!

$160 still seems overpriced for a PT2399 based delay. There are just so many of those on the market now.

I'd rather the flashback. I got one used pretty cheap and like it quite a bit.
