volume pedal question.
hey, i'm new here. I have a question about volume pedals. Some volume pedals (Ernie Ball) have models for active and passive instruments. Which do I need for my electric guitar? it will be on my pedal board. And, do i need a different one for my acoustic? Thanks.

most guitars just need a passive volume pedal, but if you have active pickups in your guitar (battery powered) then you probably need a volume pedal for active instruments.

you could use a passive volume pedal for that. The battery in acoustic/electrics usually just powers the onboard EQ, so the pickups are still passive.
