solder your own. its not as easy as george l's but it works better in the long run. plus you get to be all hardcore about it when people ask you what cables you use

it depends where you're from
i'm in the uk and the best cables here are pirahna- high quality and with a lifetime guarantee which is nice their patch cables are £6.95 each- about $9.50 ! I use a bypass strip so i have about 20 of the little fu*kers :P as for living in America- everyone else has got info on that, these george L's are supposed to b good though

I used to use Monster. They have a bit more punch than G. L's, but they aren't as reliable. With Monster I would step down on a pedal and it would go silent, I would have to kick the patch cable around. Sometimes it would get all scratchy.
However, my guitar cable (Monster 500) has not had any of those problems. ***Anyone know what the tonal differences are between the thin and thick size George L's ?

ah, the bane of my existence
goddamn patch cables. i KILL these things all the time. then again, that's probably because i have a tendacy to throw things at gigs...like both my boards. anyway, because of this i am slowly upgrading all my patches to monsters. the lifetime warrenty means that i can switch them out after each show. i proabably change all my cables (use monsters on my bass and too amp as well) every 2 gigs or so. i think they sound a ton better but are put together really poorly, but i don;t mind the tade off since replacing them is free.
