My other thread got very cluttered! I play alternative rock and funk- depends what band I'm playing in at the time

My current rig is :

Electrics:
Squier Classic Vibe 60s Telecaster Custom
A fantastic guitar- exceptional for the money!! Adding some Seymour Duncan pickups and doing a couple of minor mods soon. Check out my review on my blog here.
D'addario 10's.

Ibanez Jetking 2

Very versatile and very cool guitar- in the neck I have the switching so I have humbucker, P90 and a strat style single coil. The bridge is also split coiled, so its ultra versatile!
Neck: Seymour Duncan P Rail

1988 Squier Telecaster
-Wax dipped pickups to reduce feedback
-Wilkinson Compensated Bridge
- 4way selector switch with series mod (its wired like a normal Tele but with the option to have both pickups wired in series, almost like a humbucker)
- Planet Waves auto trim locking tuners which keep it in tune very very well (I do lots of heavy bends)
- D'addario 10s.

Norman B20 Dreadnought- Amazing acoustic tone.

Godin Freeway 4 - with flat wounds, amazing tone, especially when recording.

I still love this rig and I still love your band's name. My computer is still ****ed so I don't know if I love your music yet. Your rig is like the half that's missing from mine. I mean, we should put our rigs together to create an uberrig, and then clone it

It's the Telecaster and Wah Probe. It must be!

A Fuzz Probe would be an awesome addition. You could be as cool as this guy

Thanks! I am really tempted by the Fuzz Probe, how do you find yours? Its between that and a Ringtone at the moment... or maybe the Moog Ring mod.
Combining rigs would be insane! I find it odd cos I could use your rig quite comfortably myself- I so want that Jazzmaster!
My bands got 2 good songs, Break off to Survive and Recalling Jane- the others are badly recorded immature mildly embarrassing dittys, so feel free to ignore them!

Ok, I've decided that I want more pedals, especially as I'm forming (another) new band. I cant decide what to get first though- its currently between:

Line 6 DL4
Blackstar HI-Dist (I tried this last week and thought it was incredible)
Zvex Ringtone/ Moog Ring Mod
Boss PS-5

The DL4 would be very useful in my band- tap temo, 3 presets, looper, reverse etc, but I do have a DE7 and access to an Echo Park. The Blackstar would make my distorted sound sound incredible, whereas a Ringmod would add some strange sounds to my set up, which would work well on my new songs. The PS-5 would be useful for the whammy like sounds and adding harmonies etc.

Anyone have any ideas?!? Any help is appreciated- there's too much nice stuff!

my personal opinion is that the digitech whammy is so much more intuitive then the boss ps-5.

Why so? I've used both and liked having the polyphonic/intelligent harmony option of the PS5 and the smaller footprint.
Edit: After thinking about it, I don' think I'll really have any use for a pitch-shifter (atleast not now anyway!).

let us kno how the pups sound..

from the recording bit, do use protools le? or the full thing?

I have Le, yes. Seriously, it has everything I need, and then alot more. Loads of great plugins and its so easy to use.

but only works with digi gear, right? (like m-box)

Yes, you buy the Mbox and get Pro Tools with it. Digidesigns use it to "authorise" Pro Tools- it wont work without it (they use it to counter piracy). My Mbox is really good, I've had no problems with it at all and I use it quite alot. I recommend Pro Tools highly.

i've already got a good interface (focusrite saffire le)...but i seem to have lost the CDs that came with it - including the cubase le one...hence i'm now looking into other options of sequencer (not anti-cubase, but may as well check out any alternatives)
