Hmm, do you mean "Ego asyluM"?
I used the follwing:

EH Small Stone phaser
EH Holy Grail
Digitech Whammy
Yamaha FL-01 flanger
Line6 DL-4

I guess the combo of effects give a "chorus" like effect...
Anyway, I would certainly want a Space Echo if I could afford one... they're awesome!

I can tell the sounds of the Holy Grail and the Whammy right out, they make a great combo if you use them correctly.

When I saw your rig I was compelled to get on my knees and bow, it's very similar to what I want to have eventually...

As a lead singer I can't bow down to much, but we do about 2/3 breaks in our set in wich I can totally freak out...
Man I love twisting knobs! (and girl's knobs even a bit better...)

With a couple of Boss LS-2's I can do all but make coffee...

And I never use em all at the same time, about half the songs are done with two or three pedals.

I don't think I understand your reply...

With the song "Give" I only use the Boss PH-1r and the Expandora set on crunch with the Whammy added in for the solo...

But for example, this is what happens live when we play "Ego asyluM":
(this is the song with the most footwork b.t.w.)

-DL-4 on preset 3 (Lo-res delay)
-Holy grail (switch on Hall, dial on 10 o'clock)
-Small Stone on
-Big Muff and ToneBooster on, but bypassed on the LS-2 until needed
-I'll play the intro, when the drums and bass come in, I switch off the DL-4
-Going to 1st chorus switch the LS-2 (Muff, TB)
-Going out of chorus switch on the DL-4 (same preset)
-Going into 2nd verse switch LS-2 off (Muff, TB)
-Switch DL-4 off
-Going to 2nd chorus switch LS-2 on (Muff, TB)
-Going to interlude switch LS-2 off (Muff, TB)
-In interlude switch on DL-4 (preset 3)
-Switch on FL-01 Flanger (set to self oscillate)
-In break switch to the FL-01 (with the 2nd LS-2) Turn up the Holy grail a bit.
-Switch back from FL-01 (keeps oscillating in background)
-Switch back to FL-01 for build up to 3rd chorus
-Stomp both LS-2's together to switch off the FL-01 and turn on the Muff/TB
-Switch off DL-4
-Switch DL-4 back on in the last measure of the song and freak out with the knobs alittle..

And I thought I did a lot of tapdancing.

I'm surprised you can remember to do all those changes while playing, let alone being able to write them down.

From what I can gather from your posts, as much as you like effects you can see that sometimes you don't need many to make an impression. I like that.

I'm envious of the PH-1r now on your board. I've wanted one of those for about six months now. Can you do some soundclips to A/B the PH-1r with the Small Stone? I'd love to hear the difference since I own a Small Stone.

maybe this will clarify how I usually use effects:

verse: dry
chorus: wet
solo: some sort of boost

that's all.

I can ad some wah in solos or verse, some delay on verse or solo etc etc etc. what can I say? my brain is pretty limited!!!

Ahh, now I see what you mean...

A lot of the effects is "ambient" stuff.
We are a three-piece (just 1 guitar in the band), so we have a lot off "musical" room to play in. (kind of like the band Muse)

And I do keys too... (ensoniq KS-32)
But it's a B*tch to move!(40 Kg) so we don't gig with it...

yah I understand, I was pretty joking with you... I downloaded "ego asylum" and I know waht you mean: most of time I found super wet guitars to be "too much" for my tastes, but in similar context they're definitely ok. I think I'd something like that if I were to play in such a band...

The Ensoniq has got some great piano's and rhodes stuff (especially the "wurlitzer" patch, like a rhodes played through an overdrive pedal) and some nice "wagner" type doom orchestra patches...
And I forgot to mention the Nord Micro Modular for the "digital analog modelling" stuff (crazy noises/screaming leads and stuff)
Oh, and there's a Roland AX-1 synth-axe wich I'm not using at the moment... (a strap-on keyboard)

Oh well... I'll stick to what I know for now...

We didn't do synth stuff in the studio... not enough time (or money) but I'd like to..
