Nice! Where are you getting the custom Jazzmaster from?

Also, how are you liking the Wedge? I love the Alesis stuff for atmospheric stuff and I bought a Wedge on ebay but it blew up before I really had a chance to put it through its paces properly. I sometimes wonder whether I should get it fixed... I think it's the power connection bit that fried.

No pics yet, basically the camera has seen better days haha and the usb cable is also missing eek! Hopefully I'll be able to borrow a friends soon!

The custom Jazzmaster is getting made by Billy Rowe just like my strat, he's building it to the exact specs that I want, can't wait to share it once its complete

So far I am loving the Wedge, very atmospheric warm reverbs, I also really like the chorus/flanges it has, it has a very unique sound and is extremely customizable, I've only just started learning the basics with it but I still have a long way to go with making my own patches! Only gripe I have with it is that it is a bit on the noisy side When I have it in my rig with everything together the noise from my amp is hugeeee haha I have to work out how to get around it or condense my rig to something smaller.

Cool, thanks... from memory the delays and reverbs were quite nice. I really should get around to getting mine fixed! Which part of Australia are you in?

You'll have to let me know when you come down here next, would be good to catch up for a drink and see a local show or something!

I've been playing around with my rig and atm I'm running it like this;

Strat > TU-2 > BassDrive > DM-2 > DD-2 > PS-3 > RV-5 > RPS-10 > Wedge > FX500 > JC-120

I'm liking the sounds I'm getting from this setup, just eagerly awaiting when my custom Jazzmaster will be finished!

Sounds great! Not sure if I'll be back over in Radelaide this year, maybe towards the end of the year but if not then start of next year for sure. Also, let us know if you're heading over to Smelbourne.

A very nice setup indeed...it's a wonderful feeling when you find yourself thinking "I've got it how I want it at last." I can vouch for the lushness of a Jazzmaster through 'verb and delay into a good quality clean amp too. All I can say about the Boss delays and reverbs is that they're popular for a reason...clear-sounding, easy to use and reliable. The 'modulate' setting on the RV-5 is lovely, for instance; I think some people's complaints about their reverbs sounding too 'cold' is down to forgetting how useful the tone control can be for different amps.

You seem to have your 'spacial' effect bases covered but what, if any, distortion are you using? It's not often I see someone playing completely clean *all the time*. Given the range of clean sounds you can get out of that rig though, I can understand why you wouldn't want to bother to use distortion at all!

Another JC-77 user! They're great little amps aren't they? Same as concretebadger, it would be good to know what you use for distortion, if at all.

Cheers for the comments guys!

I was using the Fulltone Bassdrive for distortion at one stage but at the moment I'm not using any distortion, just loving how lush and dreamy everything is at the moment! I may still consider getting an old RAT to try out (heard they sound great with JC's) but apart from that I'm in no rush for distortion!

The old BOSS pedals, especially their delays are great, as you mentioned they are easy to dial in great sounds and tbh their delays sound great, I love my DM-2 for those lush analog delays and the DD-2 to my ears is a fairly warm digital sounding delay that cuts through the mix great. I only use my RV-5 on the "modulate" settings and I think its beautiful haha especially in conjuction with the wedge!

@arnoldtheduck - I'm loving the JC-77, for some reason I enjoy the sound more than my old JC-120 (must be to do with the smaller speakers), its sounds warmer to my ears and carting it around is soooooo much easier compared to the 120, I think its around 9-10kgs lighter and much more compact!
