gibson '73 sg and '68 lg-0

Well the title says it best my two new additions spent my summer work money early and sold a few things including my old sg standard.

The sg has mini humbuckers but they sound a little too bright for my tastes anyone know any other options? i was looking at the rio grande baby-buckers.

the gear

Where's the pictures of the vintage SG?

I've got mini-humbuckers in my 1970 LP Deluxe. I'd say spend a little time with them before you switch them out. The Mini-HB routes should be big enough for P90 if you do decide to switch them out though.

sell it to someone who likes sg's with mini's and get another 70's SG with full sized hums or p-90?

I hate seeing vintage-ish guitars withreplacementpick-up/esp minibuckers

I agree, you could probably get a decent amount of cash for that thing.

Did you buy that at a Guitar Center? I saw one like that in the Springfield Guitar Center a few weeks ago. Exactly like that actually. I even played it.

He sold an SG Standard for it, which is pretty strange to me since the minihums aren't what he wanted.

well the standard was one from 1990 smaller pickguard and different countrol layout. But i do like the minis and i played it through a bassman in the store and it sounded awesome and it does on my marshall but when the gain kicks in the bass isnt there.

but i was wondering what are other mini humbuckers out there? or whats something to boost the bass?

I also like the neck on it alot more than the standard this is like a baseball bat and the standard was a lot slimmer.

You could get a Fulltone Fat Boost and leave it on constantly. That would be a very nice sound.
