i need help with my rig.
okay so recently i took my peavey 5150 in to be serviced. he told me the input jacks were going bad and he fixed them. so now when i play my guitar and turn the gain up i get a terrible buzz. i know this is common but i have never experienced buzz this bad before and if i did my noise suppressor cut it out anyway. so i am curious to see if maybe his fix on the input jacks could have maybe caused my gain to be more noisy? also ive tried several high end cables and that doesnt change a thing.
the guitars i use have emgs and the other duncans. both humbuckers. and now my decimator doesnt fix the buzz at all. i just dont understand what the problem is. if anyone has any input it would be a big help. |

Yup, it was probably his fault. Might just be a cold joint on one of the grounds, but I would return it to the guy and politely inform him it didn't have that problem before it was serviced -- politely as in trying not to point out he screwed up.
