Its pure awesomeness with some wood. It sounds great but a freakin ton to lift. Its louder than any 4x12 Ive used. It sounds kinda 'honky'. I mean it honks when played with other cabs. If you are just using it buy itself you wont be able to tell.

Yeah I love the Orville, the necks alot better then I thought it would be, I thought it was gonna be a fat neck, which Im not the fondest of but its really nice, almost like a 60s neck. The recto is awesome, I just wanted something that no one else would have. But I debating right now if I should have someone make me a different box for it. One that has the same tolex as the orange and then make a white faceplate that looks like a Orange clone but says 'Boogie' instead.

I ran it over with my truck.........not really, I loved the look of the guitar but after changing the stock 9s out for some 10s the guitar became unplayable. Plus the neck was very very round and thin, but at the same time very wide too. It was really just uncomfortable to play. I may get another one and swap out the neck.

props to the first three and power rangers. that theme holds some personal irony for me; a friend of mine in 2nd grade, who obsessed over the power rangers as much as I did, said that when he grew up, he'd be in a band that played that song. except I'm the one in a band. the other guys don't know how to play it, but still-- close enough.

my gear, updated 8/17/07

I got the 8 bit fuzz, ordered the black tonepros hardware. Tonepros custom shop even threw in parts for free! And I switched the postitions of the Dimazios and now the guitar has silky smooth leads.

The Orville is nice. A blackout would be even better though. I think you should leave the Mesa/Orange as it is. It looks awesome like that I think...Definitely something unique. I think you should get the Hello Kitty again. It looks pretty wicked besides those pink inlays But with a new neck it could be hella nice.
