Lp_man's new rig!

Current Rig:
Orville By Gibson Les Paul Custom
http://entertainment.webshots.com/ph...62961376ttmGNp

Bridge: Anderson H3 humbucker (really under-rated pickups)
Neck: Bare Knuckle Pickups Riff-Raff

Edwards Les Paul Custom;
http://entertainment.webshots.com/ph...62961376BsFozQ

Bridge: Did have a JB now a BKP miracle man humbucker
Neck: did have a 59' but now has a BKP cold sweat (both open poled)

Amps: Still using the trusty DSL

Pedals:
Probably the most important pedal I'm using at the moment is the OVerdrive Spider Mark 2 overdrive which is on all the time in my signal chain. I now sell this mod via my website (www.geocities.com/overdrivespider) but I havn't made a page for it yet. Its a bloody great pedal. I'm also using a home made foxx tone machine:
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2...5300002-1.jpg, a korg DT-10 tuner a custom made wah pedal by stuart from wah-wah.co.uk and a sniper modded boss GE-7.

I'm really happy with this setup at the moment! The ObG is still my no. 1 guitar as it plays marginally better than the Edwards

How does the quality of the Edwards compare to a Gibson/Orville? I was looking at the Edwards Les Paul Special in TV Yellow, but I had never played an Edwards nor knew anyone who had or does..

Difficult to describe, the tone is crisp and hollow-y (in a good way) and isnt as thick as the Anderson H3 but the harmonics are great! I'll do some clips if I get arrond to it.

Mine was about £550-600 I cant remember, but I spent a fair bit upgrading the pickups (as with the edwards). Nowadays they can go for in access of £700 which is a real shame!

I was thinking about dropping some BKPs in a guitar, are they worth the extra cash?

I havn't answered this question myself yet, for neck humbuckers; most definately but the OBG has an Anderson H£ which has become a large part of my tone which I like a hell of a lot. BKP's are good pickups, a lot clearer in my opinion than most competitors but the H3 really blew me away considering it was £40 inc shipping from the US from a friend. I really want to try the H3+ see how that is.
