My fairly simple, clean rig.

Well, I got some new pedals and built a pedalboard, so I figured I'd post my updated rig. Not that anyone really cares.

Guitar: DeArmond M77 (new nut, locking tuners, new electronics, stock pickups, a couple cosmetic mods)

Pedals: Guyatone ST-2 > Maxon OD-9 > Vox V847 (true bypass) > Ernie Ball 6166 > MXR Phase 90 > Washburn AX-9 analog delay

Amp: Fender USA Hot Rod Deville 410

Coming soon: tremolo, Warmoth Telecaster Thinline w/ Bigsby

Yeah, I really like that rig. Not way over the top, yet not stripped completely at all. Looks like you could get some great tones too.

I like it! Nice and simple, and as you say, very clean..

Only suggestion (i doubt you wanna hear it, but i'll say it anyway :P) is that have you thought about changing to an ernie ball jr volume pedal? It may take up less space. If you have tried/thought about it, and that seemed patronising, i am sorry, i didnt mean to be

About the Ernie Ball... I considered selling it for a Jr. But even with the small one, I wouldn't be able to fit any extra pedals on to the board. Not to mention, the bigger one just feels better under my size 13's.

My Deville... I love it. I bought it used for $480. The seller didn't even advertise it as American-made. I've heard these are sweeter sounding, especially in the drive channels, though I can't attest from first hand experience. I was delighted when I received it and read the label. 480 is a great price for a mexican one, let alone an american one. Anyways... the cleans are classic, the overdrive is pretty nice for my use. I like it enough that I'm planning on getting a Blues Junior for recording.

Thanks for the nice comments.

I like it alot. I've only had a reissue TS-9 to side-by-side compare it with, no boutique pedals. It was definitely smoother and less harsh. Just sweeter sounding. "Flavor" is all I know how to describe it. Sounds a lot like tube distortion, as it's supposed to.

The main reason I got it was so that I could easily have overdrive both before and after all my other pedals.
