My Rig

Ibanex AX32 - SG style, when I tried it out it felt better made than the gibson special sg so I got this instead. Never regretted that decision once. Dimazio style pickups are good but i may retrofit later

Squier Strat - First electric. Its got a reasonable build. Comfortable neck. Plan to sell it soon.

Legacy Telecaster - Tasty cheap maple necked tele. Needs work.

First Act Lola - single pickup, now with a humbucker sized p90. Pots need changing

Ibanez ICX120 - bought very cheapily and its a shredders dream. Very nice guitar.

PEDALS

Crybaby wah : Bought off of Guitargeek. Modded for a longer vocal sweep
Behringer DM100 Distortion : Not bad - the behringer does reasonable distortion and fuzz
Behringer EQ : Standard piece of kit.
Zoom 707: why do I still own this?!?
MXR Phase 45 : Bargain for £10!
Roland Phase II
Digitech Synthwah
Behringer DC9 Dynamic Compressor: MXR clone.Useful for my solos and taming my synthwah!
Kimabara/Shin-ei fuzz: evil full sounding fuzz - the dark side of the Sixites
Marshall Echohead Delay w/ DIY Tap Tempo Switch :
Digitech Whammy IV: A very expensive piece of fun!
Digitech Bad Monkey: The Legend...The Monkey!
EHX Big Muff pi: Best...fuzz...ever!
Line 6 Tap Tremolo: Piece of crap!
DOD Flanger: Bought for cheap on the bay
Behringer Reverb - Very cheap and nice reverb
Boss Super Feedback Distortion - Bought it for crazy feedback but prefer it as a distotion.
EHX Nano Small Stone
EHX Vintage Hot Tubes - needs minor repair but sounds great
Behringer VD400 - an amazing cheap analog delay - buy it!

AMP

Peavey Valveking 112 w/ footswitch - All valve 50 watt. Very nice. Probably too loud for my needs but good tone and great value. Problem with foot switch delay but will do the mod it.
Projects:

SOFTWARE

Line 6 UX1 port with amp software - nice little package for late night playing

Hey, how did you make the tap tempo switch for your echohead? I have been looking at picking up an echohead and I cant find any of those switches!

Go to a hardware store and buy a doorbell! I bought a plastic one because it was more chunky and there was more push in the button.
Then what i did is I took a lead that had a broken jack at one end, cut that off and stripped it down to reveal the wire. Theres an outer core of wire and an inner one. The door bell should have two connector plates. Attach one core of wire to one, and one to another (it doesnt matter which way you connect them) And voila! You have a tap tempo switch.
I then attached the wired up switch to the top of a jar lid so that it raised it off the floor a bit and made it more stable to tread on. This works well but equally you could attach it to wood etc.
PM me if you have any trouble.

Hey man, what a sweet solid set-up you have there

I too like the AX series wayyyy more than i should !
That is why i am getting (probably an AX70 in white...) as a project guitar very soon !

Wanna add a Bigsby trem, and some TVJones p/u's !

Also, my one cousin has the 2x12 ValveKing, and that amp rocks for the price you pay !

What music are you into, and WHY don't you have any more FUZZ pedals, mmmm ?

Thanks for your kind words jackfuzz. I think the AX series is one of the most unsung guitar ranges around. Tuners need replacing as they're a little off but nothing too bad and Im tempted to put a hot PAF pickup in the bridge but really I love it as it is. Its better than some of th Gibsons that cost twice the price.

If you like AXs in white find pics of the guitarist from taproot. He has one with a p90 and its pure sex!

I too am tempted by a bigsby particularly the wilkinson one from
axes r us

As for the valveking, having searched the country I found one in my local music shop with footswitch for £309 which is pretty good.

As for fuzz, the "Fuzz Hole" can get pretty close to muff sounds and other big names fuzzes so i don't need any others. I also like the sound of the RAT mode on the behringer. This set at low distortion combined with the feedback looper creates a collosal fuzz. As you turn up the distortion, you can achieve howl, oscillation and pitch shift. Considering both these bits of kit togehter cost me less than £50 Im realy not complaining!
I want a few modulation effects now so I can go from there. Let me know how the AX project goes.

Hey John . . .

. . . do you still have that ValveKing amp ?

Just asking, as my lilttle cousin who had one, is now endorsed by Laney, and got a GH50L half stack, and is bloody (((LOUD)))
A little cold for my liking, but still a great amp.
