I don't think that it's too correct to just call my rig a "stereo rig" that's still in there, but this is the rig I use with my band Seven Car Pileup. There are some things here and there I want to change/add, but all in all I really love this set-up. It fits my band, scene, and my playing well.

I may put together a "B-Rig" for situations when I need to go smaller and a possible side project, but this is great for now.

I'll post photos, and a video later on.

Looks incredible...I need to get me a silvertone.

It looks like your rig is soon to include a Dan Electro Fab Tone and Vintage Rat. Hey dude I`m in Studio tonight I can dig up something I recorded with the Keeley Rat if it interests you I can send it to you so you can hear what it sounds like in a band context.

I like small amps. Is it better to have several small amps than just one regular sized one?

I talked to a luthier yesterday and he told me how problematic they can be. Do you have a lot problems with yours?

I have never had any problems with my amps. The only amp I've ever had problems with is a Vox AC30 that hated Rectofier tubes.

I do think it is better to have several small amps. Each amp accents different tones in my guitar where one guitar amp wouldn't. Plus by nature of their simplicity are Class A tube (single ended). It also makes it so you can create sounds that you may have only been able to do in the studio before, or that other people don't do live. I can go into detail about the amp choices and why I picked them if you want.

Yeah, Silvertones might just be my favorite amps ever. If you like Ampegs and Fenders you might just LOVE Silvertones.

Yeah I can't decide between the Fab Tone or the Vintage Rat... sucha tough choice!

I dig your rig, man! What are your thoughts on the SD Pickup Booster?

Really classy stuff. Wouldn't you rather have the volume pedal after the POG, so it won't screw with the tracking when doing swells and whatnot? Just an idea, anyways.

As for the Vintage Rat and the Fab Tone, they're really different beasts. The Fab Tone is a one-trick-pony, and that trick is face-melting, mid-scooped, wall-of-sound distortion. Even with the gain at minimum. I've modded mine to tame it a little, and it's still a beast. It has a great lead tone, though. And it doesn't care much about what comes before or after it. One of my ex-bandmates had a vintage Rat clone, and it did everything from classic rock tones to heavy fuzz. Its low end is quite peculiar. I could say it's "tight", but that wouldn't be saying enough. I've gotta build myself one one of these days.

Do you have an heir? In case you don't, do you want to adopt me? I'm potty-trained.

Selling BOSS FW-3. I live in Brazil, mind you, so prepare yourself for $30-ish for shipping and waiting. Local pickup available, along with beautiful beaches and cheap bitches.

I've been looking for a ward, do you have tights? Ever thought about a fast-paced career in crime fighting?

The only reason the volume pedal is where it is, is because my foot instinctively goes to that spot for volume, but maybe I'll toy with it when I don't have any shows for a bit. However, I have never ever experienced any tracking issues with the POG. It's like the Anti-Whammy.

I really love the SD Pickup Booster. If you use single coil style guitar pick-ups it is pretty awesome. It is also a very clean transparent boost (without the resonant change selected). Plus a 25db boost can sometimes be so awesome... feedback solo here I come.

I kinda miss the crappiness of mine... I played chords on the harmony mode and rocked the pedal back and forth (the lower (?) 4th/5th mode is great for this). Instant lo-fi glitchy weirdness.

Damn... Talk about regret...

Thanks man. I've been thinking of getting one ever since asatbluesboy was telling me how amazing they were for his tone.

There is a Whammy-esque effect in Native Instrument's Guitar Rig 3. That's all I need.

Guilty as charged. I'm a sucker for it. Too bad it's expensive and SMD (I've still gotta work on that schematic you sent me).

I hope you can put it to good use, Gus! I've been thinking of getting one if GC will take some trade-ins in exchange for store credit.

Ah, sorry, I meant Jazzmasters are problematic. I don't know where that disappeared, but do you have problems with yours? I really like them but I hear they're full of design flaws and the drawbacks that come with them.

There are some issues that I could see being a problem. It's my favorite guitar, but it does work better with a mustang bridge instead of the jazzmaster bridge. Also, a lot of folks put buzz stops on them to keep the strings from falling out of the saddles. I also use 11s and I've been told that you have to use bigger than 10s on them... As well, if you buy a Jappanese one you MUST replace the pick-ups with at the very least Seymour Duncan Antiquity pick-ups.

With all that said, it is without a doubt, to me, the best sounding guitar I've ever played.
