Thanks. I've got a bunch of pedals sitting on a shelf that would probably put me in a higher regard if I mentioned them, but i'm just not using 'em. Very simple these days.

Regarding Rick knockoffs - I never owned one and I don't condone them either. You can get a Jetglo 330 for $750-$800 used, I got my Fireglo one for that much.

Wow - So after owning Vox's and Bogners and such, the amp you've settled on is a MESA? And you find that a good match for Rickenbackers? Interesting...

Well, it's funny. I got that amp for free (thanks again!), it's a 40 watt Class A amp, very dark sounding. Not really my first choice of sound, since I like really bright sounding stuff (Think Twin Reverb w/ bright switch on). But i've really centered my tone around the sound of it, along with my pedals. It's not at all like a Mesa you're probably used to.

I couldn't get the tone I wanted out of the Shiva, no matter how hard I tried. The Vox, on the other hand, I regret selling.

I like!

I miss all of the pedals though.
You're rig needs a jazzmaster, although I'm well aware that you've gone through a few of them, you still need a nice jazzmaster.

Yeah, tell me about it. I'm living the Jazzmaster fantasy through a Jaguar right now, which I rather like. But my American Jazzmaster was one of the best guitars I ever owned. What a sound!

Gone, sadly. Traded it for that 360 Carl Wilson.

Filtertrons were just not a tone I had any use for in my music, and I came to the realization that it was really a gimmicky, flashy piece. Not my thing. I got a practical and rare guitar in return, and one that will continue to escalate in value (I still play of course but have been bitten by the collectors bug as well). I do feel cooler for having owned one though.

Did you ever look for a Rick 380 Laguna? You had PM'ed me about it a long time ago. I have since found out that it has a wider neck then other Ricks as well as a high-performance bridge and always think of you when I see one for sale.

I did ask my local shop to order one for me to try but I guess it slipped through the cracks. I'll have a Rick one day ... one day!

Actually they've been discontinued. But you should really try a 650! A true soloists guitar with an incredible, unique tone.

Most of the pictures I already had of these guitars were pretty lousy, so i'll take better ones on the next nice day.

2001 Epiphone Dot, Cherry

2005 Squier Tele Deluxe

2000 Fender Jazz Bass Fretless, Midnight Blue

Artisan Lap Steel

Martin DXM

Fender DG-16 12-string

All into Ernie Ball Jr. Volume Pedal, TU-2, Analogman "classic"-modded TS-9, Janglebox, DD-20, Magicstomp (For reverb and tremolo), ----> Mesa Maverick 2x12 .
Sold my 4001c64 for a 4004 Cheyenne. Picked it up from a Rickenbacker Forum member.

It's got two RIC humbuckers, walnut wings with a maple center, and a maple fretboard. It's been discontinued for a few years now in favor of the Cheyenne II, or Cii.

Basically just wanted to get something different. I've been modifying my main bass, my 4003, to more vintage specs, so the 4001 wasn't really as necessary as it used to be.

UPS says it's coming Friday and i'm psyched! I have a gig on Sunday and it'll be out in full force.

Thanks! It's certainly thinner than it was, but it works.
