is the JCM 800 a reissue or original? how do you like the ZW-44? i just swapped out mine not because i didn't like it but it started giving me intermittent problems: crackling, not turning on mainly when activating it. i checked on harmony central and it seems that quite a few people have had trouble with it's reliability. anyway i added a voodoo lab sparkle drive and i made my TS-808 the high gain pedal as oppsed to before having the ZW being the high gain setting pedal. very nice rig by the way simple but very effective and fairly versatile. love the JC-120...i had one once and she was a beauty, but she's no more

Do you really need the Grunge pedal with a Marshall?

As for my MXR Wylde Overdrive, all that it does is boost the signal and allows you to adjust the tone. Doesn't really overdrive the amp even at high volumes. And I have noticed that on occassion it doesn't turn on when stomped or it is on without the light being on. Kinda of on the fritz. As for my DOD Grunge, I suppose I really don't need it but it sounds pretty awesome with it on the MXR Wylde Overdrive pedal on at the same time. The Grunge box has always seemed a little low in the volume section even when it was full blast. So the MXR pedal really pushes the volume up. Really I suppose I don't need the Grunge with the JCM 800, but on occassion I want a different type of Distortion/Overdrive and its a welcomed change for me. The JCM 800 is a reissue, 2203X, with a true bypass effects loop. Sorry I didn't mention that.
