I'd get a Tele instead of a Strat, but that's me. Actually, I'd get a Jaguar or even a Jazzmaster for single coil sound, but they can cost lots of money.

You have a good taste for pedals

Selling BOSS FW-3. I live in Brazil, mind you, so prepare yourself for $30-ish for shipping and waiting. Local pickup available, along with beautiful beaches and cheap bitches.

Ya, the Strat I'm still undecided on. What I do know is I want a single coiled guitar to contrast my LP.

Oh, and thanks. Since I don't often have money to buy pedals, a lot of thought goes into each purchase.

Used G&L.

The Tributes are the budget models. They use the same pickups as the full on USA made G&Ls and they have good quality hardware all around. New they cost around the same price as a MIM Fender and they're a better guitar as far as I'm concerned, and used they can be a steal.

Also, used G&Ls sell for a little more than a new MIM Fender and they're Custom Shop in terms of quality.

I am heavily considering G&L. It really helps that my favorite music shop doesn't carry Fender, but carries tons of G&L's.

Alright, I'm moving to Canada. I've heard that Quebec needs people for living/working/having kids there. But I guess I'd need to learn French...

Wait, they already did that, and the English won...weird...

don't overlook the squier strats - incredible value for money and pretty good tone. Problem with strats these days is there are so many different versions of the blasted things - you need to have a really good idea of the tone you want before you part with your cash.

Having said that, for strat sounds my v. old Ibanez sr1200 (or something like that) coil tapped on the neck p/u sounds more like a strat than most strats - or you could even mod your LP with a couple fo coil taps a la Jimmy Page, he managed to get one or two good tones you know...

Guitar and amp were bought at once at Steve's (downtown). The employees were such huge douches that I haven't been back since.

The OD-3 was bought at Musicircle in the West Island.

The MXR was bought at ItalMelodie, my favorite store. The employees are awesome there.

And the CE-2 was bought in the middle of nowhere, New Brunswick.

I like the finish on your Epiphone Les Paul.. Handsome!

Guitar? Whoever said Squire Strat was talking sensibly. But arguably better than that, and probably a fraction cheaper also, is the good old legendary budget guitar, the Yamaha Pacifica 112. More flexible too, with it's humbucker bridge pickup..

Still a superb instrument at twice the price.

The Ottawa Steve's is also infested with douchebags. Whenever they ask who was helping you with something, the guy denies it nomatter who it is. Is yours big? Steve's is the biggest music store in Ottawa but they dont have a Jazzmaster!

Hey how do you like the Epi Les Paul? I was thinking about buying one in that same color as my next guitar. I own a Gibson LP Special which I love and I'm hopeful the Epi would be good too because I like cheap stuff.

The Steve's is weird. It's in old-Montreal, so it's like 7 small little shops merged into one. Each little shop has it's own purpose (electric guitars/amps, acoustic stringed instruments, pedals, etc etc). I've only been once though, because it's far away from my house, and the employees are hella-lame.

It's pretty good. I think with a pickup upgrade, it could be an awesome guitar. I'm pretty happy with it for now, it plays very nice, looks great, and is solid all-around. For the price, I have trouble not liking it. My buddy also has two Epi SG's, and they are great too.

Go Epiphone!

What? That doesnt make any sense at all.

I have a G&L Tribute invader, and it rocks my effin socks off. It does the single coil thing pretty well, and the 2HBs are both great USA handwound pickups. G&L 4 Lyfe!!!

If tone is all in the fingers, I'm just gonna play a Squier through a Gorilla amp from now on.
