Not Technically A Song, But I Wrote It
...Which is to say it's instrumental. You can listen to it at www.purevolume.com/alexbirdsall.
I don't actually have an album titled "I Enjoy Waffles," but I had to list an album name. That one would be ridiculous. True, but ridiculous.

I liked it man. I really liked how the first line was slowly drowned out, and it was a pretty cool line to boot. Was there someone singing a few notes? Or am I just making things up? How did you do this/what pedals did you use?

really cool, happen to hear of the band JESU?
This song could fitright in on one of their albums, which is a compliment. I'd love to hear where this goes, but it's definitely starting great. keep it up!

As for how I did it, it was my tele's neck pickup (tone down some) into a French Toast, a PB&J, and a Tuna Melt, into my Blues Junior. I went to Allee Chapel to record the piano; I recorded the guitar and singing in my room in Tarr (last year). I recorded it all with my iBook's built-in mic and edited it with audacity.

That's amazing that you recorded that well with a built in mic. It sounds really well done. I like it; definately gonna be stuck in my head for a while.

On an unrelated note, was that you last year I'd hear playing inside Pfeiffer? Some of that stuff sounded pretty good.

I love it. It reminds of the Jesus and Mary Chain. All warm and fuzzy.

It's good to have a Mac laptop, isn't it?
My college jazz band leader, who also teaches all of the recording classes and is absolutely the most mindblowing recording wizard you'll ever meet, frequently records performances with only his Powerbook's built-in mic.
