This long discontinued gem from the Ibanez 10 "Power Series" was made between 1986-1989. Aside from the occasional sticky switch, these are wonderful units with a flavorful echo and very rich and pronounced repeats. Dialing up everything from short rockabilly slapbacks to long ambient soundscapes is all within the wide range of the DL-10. The actual delay has a little digital grit to it but actually comes off sounding a little warmer than the ultra-crispy Boss DD-2 or DD-3 pedals. These crop up all the time in used music stores and on ebay so keep an eye open for one if you need digital delay without breaking the bank. As with all "Power Series" models, the housing is made of tough metal while the actual switch is plastic. Despite looking a little flimsy, these pedals are actually pretty tough and should provide years of dependable use. |
