 BOSS AC-2 ACOUSTIC SIMULATOR

Boss AC-2 Acoustic Simulator

Acoustic sounds out of your electric guitar? Don't expect this box to stand up to a pricey Martin D-50 or a Gibson Jumbo but the Boss AC-2 can certainly deliver up some fairly convincing electro-acoustic sounds. This unit fulfills it's advertised purpose but only when used in conjunction with single coil pickups, a bright clean amp, and perhaps a touch of chorus. For those of you who could care less about creating faux-acoustic sounds, this box is capable of taking the timid palette of your clean guitar into twisted tonal territories! Our only complaint was the output section was a little undernourished and cranking it yielded a bit of unwanted hiss. Aside from that one gripe, this is one solid solution for players who are tired of hauling an extra guitar to gigs, fighting acoustic feedback onstage, or switching between guitars during the set.
