This is really interested, I’m a longtime Edge fanatic and have never previously heard any mention of the Guyatone PS-102… but now that I’m searching around the web, I’m seeing some other sites indicating it was part of his rig a long time ago. Huh, you learn something new every day!
One thing I’m interested in, if anyone knows–when did the Boss FA-1 FET preamp appear in his rig? I can’t find any production date information for the pedal (bossarea.com doesn’t even have a listing for it) but all signs point to it hitting the scene in the early 80s, and most resources point to the first known instance of Edge having one is either sometime right after “Boy,” or not until “The Unforgettable Fire.” I’d be curious to know the timeline here, if anyone can supply it.
